It's a pleasure to meet you, I'd love to talk to you about my love for all things theaterical arts and beyond!
Please, take a seat! Oh- no I didn't mean literally take it. No, don't apologize. Happens all the time! Are you comfortable? No? This is a website and you can't sit in my very comfortable and interesting chair? That's my bad!
Hi! My name is Bella! Take a look around my grand lands, enjoy what you like and scowl at what you don't! Or scowl at it all! Angrier! Go wild! I won't know!
I'm a life long lover of theatre, television, the arts in general, and specific fictional characters I have very strong opinions on.
I'm an actor, writer, designer, and asker of strange questions.
If you like my work or would like to hear one of those strange questions for yourself reach out! I can't wait to hear from you!
Bella Carstea is an actor, screenwriter, playwright, designer, an encyclopedia of information for her favorite niche cartoons and sitcoms, with a can-do attitude! She has a BFA in Theatre Arts with a minor in Screenwriting from Point Park University. Bella loves to write magical worlds of grand adventures and autism with a dash of heart and surreal humor. Some of her favorite past works include playing Dr Madden in Riverfront Theatre Company’s Next To Normal, premiering her short play Barrel List at Pinnacle Productions 24 Hour Playwriting Festival, and costuming One Night: Ultimate Werewolf while originating the role of Troublemaker. No one has said she’s a young Andy Samberg but many have said she looks exactly like Janet from The Good Place.
I grew up in Maryland and went to college at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, gaining a BFA in Theatre Arts and a minor in Screenwriting!
Beyond my career passions, I'm a lover of fashion, drawing, cosplay, and looking at pictures of unique animals doing silly things. (If you haven't seen videos of large lizards in human houses go do that now.)
I am a giant nerd! I love cartoons, sitcoms, musical theatre, cosplay, reading, the list goes on. This nerdiness funnels right back into my love for the out of the box work I create.
Bella plays leading lady Selena Cruz in the brand new, sci fi/rock musical The Midnight Signal. Set to open April 4th! Cast album and pro shot coming soon.
Riverfront Theatre Company closes its 65th Saphire Season with Next To Normal with Bella Carstea playing Dr Madden and Dr Fine.
Bella costume designs and performs in the global premiere of One Night: Ultimate Werewolf. Based on the card game of the same name.
